Sheriff's office launches 'Click It or Ticket' campaign

Manatee County drivers should be sure to buckle up in the coming weeks.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is joining hundreds of other law enforcement agencies across the state by intensifying efforts to enforce seat belt laws.

The Click It or Ticket campaign will be held from March 1-15.

A seat belt violation is $116 and now considered a primary traffic stop, which means drivers can be pulled over specifically for not using their seat belts.
