Senior carves up clay creation

After four weeks, Juanita Sellers is still perfecting her prized pitcher. Using a carving tool, she continued to add fine details to it Oct. 1, at the North Sarasota Senior Friendship Center. Once the carving is complete, she’ll clean, color and bake the pitcher.

“It’s a gift to myself,” Sellers said. “I may turn it white.”
