The Sarasota Scullers recently sent 16 rowers and five boats to compete against the country’s most elite rowers in the U.S. Rowing Youth National Champions, in Oak Ridge, Tenn. More than 1,500 athletes represented 148 teams qualified through wins at the regional level.

The Scullers’ Women’s Lightweight 4+ (with coxswain) won their first gold medal. Arianna Robbins and Cara Rawe won the bronze medal in last year’s championship. Colleen Wohlrab was recruited for Division I collegiate rowing to the University of Tulsa Women’s Rowing Team, for which she will begin rowing next year.
