SCORES: Mustangs post impressive showing at Southside Duals

The Lakewood Ranch High varsity wrestling team finished 6-1 at the Southside Duals Dec. 16-17 at Dixie Hollins High.

After falling to Dixie Hollins 51-9, the Mustangs went on to defeat Leley (46-15), Bayshore (48-3), Seminole (53-24), Lakewood (75-5), Lemon Bay (40-36) and Boca Ciega (84-0).

Evan Dipsiner, Anthony Annis and Shane Blair all finished a perfect 7-0 in their respective weight classes to lead the way for Lakewood. Jacob Soles and Blake Riley-Hawkins both went 6-1 followed by Alex Rickard (5-2), Robert Collier (5-2), Mike Anolfo (4-3) and Kevin Garza (3-2)

Annis also was voted Lakewood’s Most Valuable Wrestler for the second week in a row.
