Sarasota real estate professional Tracy Seider, a 30-year resident of Sarasota, has been elected chair of SCOPE for 2010-2011.

“I’m honored to have been chosen for this responsibility,” said Seider, a broker with Re/Max Alliance Group, in a prepared statement. “I love the concept of citizens creating a better community and working together to improve the quality of life in Sarasota, and SCOPE provides a vehicle for that to happen.”

Seider currently serves on the board of the Selby Gardens Associations and is active with the Junior League of Sarasota, Leadership Sarasota and the New College Library Association.

The organization’s newest initiative is the creation of the Institute for the Ages, which will drive the creation of new jobs, money invested in local communities, the development of age-specific products and public policy recommendations on aging issues.
