The Manatee County School District hopes to get its 5,000 employees and 42,000 students moving on Friday.

The district will air a five-minute DVD segment called “United We Exercise,” which features an energetic cast of students, district employees and even Superintendent Tim McGonegal.

The special DVD is intended to show the importance of good health while benefiting the United Way of Manatee County. The district is asking students and employees each to contribute a can of food or $1 to United Way in conjunction with the “United We Exercise” event.
