SCAT loses manager to private sector

Sarasota County has lost another manager to the private sector.

Sarasota County Area Transit Operations Manager Greg Brackin announced his resignation Monday, Aug. 26. Brackin has taken a position with Veolia Transportation, a private transit firm, according to an email exchange between County Administrator Randall Reid and SCAT Director Glama Carter.

Carter called the position "critical," noting the need to immediately post the position on career websites in the email.

"He was literally my right hand," Carter wrote.
