Save Our Seabirds came to the rescue Friday, Nov. 20, when Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport needed to open a closed runway where a swan had been living and flying between two ponds.
Airport officials were concerned that the swan could threaten the landing process for the planes, so they called Save Our Seabirds.
The rescue went smoothly, and the swan was taken to Save Our Seabirds, where it will remain until it can be released.
