Sarasota Police seek missing teenagers

UPDATE: The two missing teenagers were found safe in Manatee County Saturday, May 3. 

 

Two teenagers from Venice were reported missing Thursday.

Cheyanne Nicole Muecke, 15, and Joshua Howard Palmieri, 16, were reported missing yesterday after they did not return home from school.

They were last seen at 1:50 p.m. yesterday leaving Sarasota Military Academy, located on the corner of 10th Street and North Orange Avenue, walking southbound on Lemon Avenue from 10th Street.

Sarasota City Police issued a news release to alert the public about the missing teens.

Muecke, is a white female described as 5-foot-3 and 118 pounds with light brown hair and blonde streaks. She was last seen wearing a blue/purple sheer plaid shirt, black pants and dark brown boots and carrying a green plaid backpack.

Palmieri is a white male who is 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds with short, brown hair and blue eyes. Palmieri was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering that reads, “New York.” He was wearing black jeans and black sneakers with neon green trim and carrying an Army camouflage backpack.
