In 2011, the Florida Board of Medicine voted to revoke Leonard A. Rubinstein's license due to patient complaints about unecessary procedures.

On Monday, Sarasota Police executed a search warrant at his office in the Center for Integration in Cosmetic Surgery that resulted in evidence showing Rubinstein had been running his practice without a valid license. Officers seized medical records and marketing materials, according to a news release.

Police have charged the 59-year-old ear, nose and throat doctor with attempt or offer to practice medicine with a revoked license.
