Sarasota police investigate homicide

The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a homicide after a body was found on the side of a road in north Sarasota last night.

Officers received a report regarding the body, which was discovered in the 3200 block of Orange Avenue, at 10:30 p.m. last night. The body was located on the curb when officers arrived on the scene.

An SPD release identified the victim as Carlton Parhm, 23, of Palmetto.

The case was originally reported as a suspicious incident, but is currently being investigated as a homicide. No further information regarding this case is currently being made available.
