Sarasota Police investigate downtown hit-and-run

The Sarasota Police Department has released photos of the vehicle detectives believed to be involved with a hit-and-run in front of Sarasota Opera Tuesday.

Officers are looking for a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck with damage on the front-left quarter panel that struck a man in his 20s at roughly 2 a.m. on Pineapple Avenue near First Street. The unnamed victim remains in critical condition at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
