Sarasota Police file charges in gasoline stick-up

The Sarasota Police Department has charged 38-year-old Reggie “Red” Randall with attempted robbery for threatening to spray gasoline on three victims at a gas station Thursday, May 30, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Police arrested Randall two days later for the incident, which occurred at the Shell gas station across from Sarasota Memorial Hospital at 1801 S. Tamiami Trail. Randall aimed a gas nozzle Desiree Cassanelli, Ryan Snyder and Jonathan Ethell, and demanded they hand over their belongings.

Randall is cuurently being held on a $50,000 bond for each count of attempted robbery. Randall has been arrested for battery, driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription within the last year.
