Sarasota High 5 Moments: 05.19.16

1 — Sarasota senior third baseman SarahBeth Wengerd was chosen to represent the West in the Florida High School Coaches Association 27th All-Star Softball Classic May 20-21, at Forest High. 

2 — Sarasota Scullers rowers Jessica Frisch and Katie Beiler won gold in the Women’s Youth 2x at the USRowing Southeast Youth Championship May 15. 

3 — Auburn University senior Jade Rhodes, a 2012 graduate of Sarasota High, helped lead the Tigers softball team to its second-consecutive SEC championship May 14. 

4 — Sarasota Christian senior McKenzie Lantz was named to the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches/Source Hoops Class 2A second team all-state girls basketball team. 

5 — Cardinal Mooney’s Richard Krupa helped the MBC Elite 17U boys basketball team capture the 2016 AAU Division I state championship  May 7-8.
