Sarasota County to sell downtown land

Sarasota County staff are preparing an invitation to negotiate (ITN) for the sale of county-owned land in the heart of downtown Sarasota, according to a presentation during a July 10 Sarasota County Commission meeting.

According to a July 10 presentation to Sarasota County commissioners, staff will court developers interested in the property at 20 N. Washington Blvd., which was most recently valued at $2.07 million. Once staff completes the ITN, interested developers have 45 days to submit a proposal.

There are currently two proposals being consiered for the property.
