Sarasota County hires senior strategist

Sarasota County has hired former Alliance and Innovation Regional Director Tracy Miller as senior strategist in the Office of Financial Planning, according to Senior Strategic and Financial Planning Director Suzanne Gable.

Miller worked with the non-profit organization since 1993, and holds a master of science degree from the University of Tampa, said a county news release. Miller will work through a transitional period and start work officially May 20.

The position, which was pitched and tabled prior to the arrival of County Administrator Randall Reid in 2012, pays $72,000 annually.

“A few years ago there was an emphasized focus on business processes and focus,” Gable said. “So now we’re recreating that (position) in a different fashion.”
