2016 YPG Summit: Launch

Tuskegee Airman speaks
Starts at 10:30 a.m. at Campus Center at Church of the Palms, 3224 Bee Ridge Road. Tuskegee Airman and member of the 332nd Fighter Group of the U.S. Army Air Forces George Hardy, will give a presentation. Tickets are $10 and include lunch. Visit churchofthepalms.org. 

Sarasota YMCA Splash Bash
Runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at Evalyn Sadlier Jones Branch, 8301 Potter Park Drive. Bring your swimsuit for the Sarasota YMCA Splash Bash. Enjoy entertainment, face painting and food that will be available to purchase. Admission is free.

Gem, Jewelry & Bead Show

Saturday, Aug. 20 
Ready to Party with One Night Rodeo
Starts at 9:30 p.m. at White Buffalo Saloon, 5377 McIntosh Road. A portion of ticket sales from this event will benefit the Nov. 12 Rock for a Cause. Cover is $5. Visit thewbsaloon.com.

Sarasota Beer Fest
Runs from 5 to 9 p.m. at Robarts Arena, 3000 Ringling Blvd. Enjoy unlimited samples of 80 different beers and food sampling from local restaurants. Sunday, Aug. 21 
Unitarian Universalist Open House
Runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota, 3975 Fruitville Road.  Families interested in learning about religious education programs are invited. Medieval Fair Auditions
