Tri Delta Alumnae Book Sale Luncheon

Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 27
Simply Sarasota Tour of Homes
Runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Granada Park, Prospect Street and Osprey Avenue homes. The event is presented by Junior League of Sarasota Inc. Each home will host demonstrations by chefs, artists and designers. Tickets are $25 for the tour; $35 for the tour with brunch. Visit jlsarasota.org.

Siesta Key Craft Festival
Runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Siesta Key Village, Ocean Boulevard. Browse creations by more than 100 artisans exhibiting and selling their work in an outdoor gallery. Work includes photography, paintings, sculpture, jewelry and crafts. Admission is free. Visit artfestival.com.

Saturday, Feb. 27 and Sunday, Feb. 28
Garden to Plate: Plant and Garden Festival
Runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, 900 S. Palm Ave. Plant and gardening experts will be on hand, and the event includes a plant sale. A shuttle service will be available from the State Street parking garage. Tickets are free for members; $19 for guests; $6 for children ages 4 to 11. Visit selby.org.

St. Thomas Women’s Club Fashion Show

Tuesday, March 1
32nd annual Celebration of Friendship, Feasting and Music
Starts at 6 p.m. at Heritage Oaks Golf and Country Club, 4800 Chase Oaks Drive. The event is presented by the Gulf Coast St. David’s Welsh Society. The Sarasota High School Admirals Band jazz ensemble will perform. Featured speaker Jack Jacobs will discuss “The Influence of Welsh Music Throughout the World.” Cost is $40 for members and students; $45 for guests. RSVP by Feb. 26. Call 349-6069.

St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church Women Fashion Show
Starts at 11 a.m. at Michael’s On East, 1212 East Ave. St. The Women’s Guild will present its annual spring fashion show and luncheon, “Footsteps in the Sand.” The show will feature fashions by Patchington on Main Street. Tickets are $45. RSVP by Feb. 26. Contact Carol Pearson at 349-2016.

March Dine Out
Runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at El Greco Mediterranean Cafe, 1592 Main St. Family Promise of Sarasota hosts a dine out night in which 20% of patrons’ bills will benefit the organization. The fundraiser will help homeless Sarasota families. Visit familypromisesarasota.org.

Book Discussion: ‘Cape Fear’
Starts at 10 a.m. at Selby Public Library, 1331 First St.
In honor of the selection of author John D. MacDonald’s works for the One Book, One Community 2016 program, there will be a discussion on MacDonald’s book, “The Executioners,” which was renamed “Cape Fear” after the movie was made. Admission is free. Call 861-5000

Sun Circle Art Festival
Runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sapphire Shores Park on Sun Circle Drive. More than 60 local artists will display their work. The festival will feature live music from local talent, and entertainment is scheduled throughout the day. Admission is free. Visit ibssa.ws.

Musical Flea Market
Runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Geldbart Auditorium of the Selby Public Library, 1331 First St. The Sarasota Music Archive seeks donations of records, CDs, DVDs, books, sheet music, posters art, and musical instruments. ‘The Conflict in Syria’ Lecture
Runs from 2 to 4 p.m. at The First Church, 104 S. Pineapple Ave. Nabeel Khoury, nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East, will present this seminar on behalf of the Sarasota Institute of Lifetime Learning. Tickets are $35. Visit sillsarasota.org.

360 Degree Health Charity Boot Camp
Runs from 9 to 10 a.m. at Real Fitness Sarasota, 4728 S. Tamiami Trail. Sweat it out while helping  a local family in need. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to work out with them.
