Rowing championships gets a logo

Sarasota and Manatee county officials will unveil the logo for the 2017 World Rowing Championships at a press conference Saturday, May 10.

Officials hope the logo, designed by the International Federation of Rowing Associations (FISA), will create additional buzz for the rowing championships, which will be held at Nathan Benderson Park.

The public is welcome to attend the press conference, at 1:17 p.m. on the regatta island of Nathan Benderson Park.
