Roadwork updates for week of Aug. 28

Interstate 75
From north of North River Road to north of state Road 681.
Construction activities will require nighttime lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 28 to Aug. 31, and from 8 p.m. to midnight Sept. 1.

U.S. 301
From Myrtle Street to DeSoto Road.
Lane closures are possible from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Sept. 4.

U.S. 41
Intersection of Wood Street.
The northbound outside lane of U.S. 41 between Bay Street and Wood Street will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Sept. 2.

Legacy Trail Overpass.
Temporary lane closures may occur between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting today. The Legacy Trail will be closed to pedestrian traffic from Train Depot in Venice to Colonia Lane.

State Road 758
East of Honore Avenue.
There will be an inside westbound lane closure from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Sept. 2. Construction is on left-turn lane.

Siesta Draw.
There will be intermittent east and westbound lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. today and Aug. 30.

From McIntosh Road to east of Beneva Road.
There will be intermittent westbound outside lane closure from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Aug. 30 to Sept. 1. Contractor will be reparing sidewalk at various locations.

Lake Forest Drive to Railroad Tracks.
There is an eastbound right-lane closure from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Sept. 1

State Road 72
Replacement of bridge over Myakka River.
There will be single lane closures and minor delays during daylight hours. No weekend work will occur for this project.

The contractor is Kelly Brothers Construction Inc. Completion is estimated for summer 2012.
