Recommendations made for three new principals

Three East County elementary schools will have new principals this coming school year.

At the School Board meeting June 8, Superintendent Tim McGonegal will make recommendations for the posts at Bashaw, Freedom and McNeal elementaries

Recommendations likely will be as follows: For Bashaw Elementary School, Dr. Ron Hirst, currently a grant resource specialist; for Freedom Elementary, Jim Mennes, currently the assistant principal at Abel Elementary; and for McNeal Elementary, Norma Scott, currently the assistant principal at Moody Elementary.
