Bookstores across the state celebrated Florida Bookstore Day Saturday. Bookstore1 held an all-ages literary party and read-a-thon for customers and members of the community. Kate Thomas, of Bookstore1, read stories to children who visited the shop. There was also a costume contest for children who dressed as their favorite literature characters.
