+ Ranch youth earns scholarship
GreyHawk Landing resident Joseph Schneider, a junior at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School, has been named the first-place winner in the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Schneider’s essay won the award for the local VFW Post 10141 from a pool of more than 200 applicants.
Schneider received the award during a special presentation Dec. 17 at the post.
