Ranch Town Hall hours will change

Lakewood Ranch community development district supervisors today made decisions that will affect every resident of the East County community.

First, the Inter-District Authority voted to approve new operating hours for Town Hall, which will go into effect Oct. 1. The new schedule would retain the 10-hour, four-day work week for employees while opening the facility up to the public on Fridays. Additionally, security personnel will be hired to be at the building on weekends or nights when staff is not present and the building is in use.

Second, supervisors in Lakewood Ranch CDD 2 voted against placing a 9/11 and Fallen Heroes Memorial in front of Town Hall.
