Queen of wreaths preps for auction

We recently spotted artist Marcy Chapman surrounded by a sea of wreaths on the floor of the art room at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch.

The wreaths, designed by Chapman and put together by Glenridge members, will be auctioned off from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the community’s Thistle Shop bar. The event benefits the Glenridge Benevolence Fund.

Director of Member Services Kathy Mathews initiated the idea based on the Festival of Trees that she attended while living in Denver. Thinking that trees would have been too cumbersome, she came up with the wreath idea.
