P&Z selects subcommittee members

The town’s Planning and Zoning Board appointed board members George Symanski Jr. and Pat Zunz to the town’s newly created Vision Plan review subcommittee at a special meeting 2 p.m., Friday, June 18.

At the Town Commission’s regular workshop May 20, the commission formed the Vision Plan review subcommittee, which now comprises Symanski, Zunz, Commissioner David Brenner and Vice Mayor Jim Brown.

The commission made the decision after holding a discussion about how to update and implement a Vision Plan the Town Commission accepted in October 2007 but never adopted.

Brenner and Brown, who both worked on the Vision Plan when they were planning board members, want to see the plan updated and adopted.

The subcommittee will meet during the summer before bringing their findings to the commission in the fall.
