Publix gets its fill of construction

Here’s the dirt on the new Publix:

Currently, you’ll see lots of it at the construction site.

The mounds of fill dirt at the Avenue of the Flowers property will be used to elevate the site. Once preliminary site work is done, the construction of the foundation can begin. Also on the site sit multiple concrete structures that will be used for stormwater retention.

Meanwhile, contractors continue to work quickly toward a September CVS opening. The northern-most wall of the structure is currently under construction.
