About 250 people turned out Thursday night to review plans for the diverging diamond interchange at University Parkway and Interstate 75.

Florida Department of Transportation officials and others key to the project stood by renderings of the future interchange and field questions from the public. Attendees also were able to view an animation simulating how the diverging diamond will work.

"(I'm not nervous about construction) based on waht I heard," said Ray Notaro, of River Place. "It looks like it'll really improve things at that area."
