Professional Golf Tip of the Week: Maximizing Flexibility

In order to maximize every bit of flexibility that we have to make a good shoulder and hip turn in the backswing, we must create a good coil.

For a lot of golfers that is not so easy.  Set up to the ball with your right foot (for a right-handed golfer) turned outward at a 45-degree angle.  This position will allow your hips much more freedom to turn in the backswing and a bigger more powerful shoulder turn will follow.

Rosedale Director of Instruction and PGA Professional Steve Whidden will be offering a new professional golf tip each week. Be sure to check YourObserver.com for next week's tip.
