Damage to Florida Power & Light equipment left more than 2,300 businesses and residents in the Lakewood Ranch area without power Wednesday night.
The outage occurred around 5 p.m.
Lakewood Ranch Main Street Property Manager Amanda Zipperer said businesses in the plaza were without electricity for about 45 minutes.
“FPL fixed the problem relatively quickly so everyone was able to continue business,” she said.
