Three Popcorns: Go see it
Four Popcorns: Standing ovation

"The Call"
Two Popcorns
Genre: Suspense/Thriller
Cast; Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, Morris Chestnut, Michael Eklund, David Otunga, Michael Imperioli
Director: Brad Anderson
Rating: R
Comment: A good movie up till the last quarter then it got very stupid. Dumb ending. Too bad.

"Dead Man Down"
Three Popcorns
Genre: Suspense/ Thriller
Cast; Colin Farrell, Noomi Repace, Terrence Howard, Dominic Cooper, Isabelle Huppert
Director Niels Arden Oplev
Rating: R
Comment: A well done and compelling story of the empty promise of revenge. Farrell and Repace complimented each other well and were very real.

"The Gatekeepers"
Two Popcorns
Genre: Documentary
Cast: Ami Ayalon, Avi Dichter, Yuval Diskin
Director: Dror Moreh
Rating: PG-13
Comment: Well done and clever use of ex-Shin Bet Security chiefs who have changed their positions, in retirement and old age, on how to deal with their enemies on a conciliatory basis. They conveniently left out how their enemies would respond after thousands of years of their trying to eliminate the Jews. How do you successfully negotiate with someone who wants you dead? Wish that question had been asked. Not on the agenda for the producers.
