The Sarasota Police Department is seeking additional information from the public following a burglary at Village Bikes Monday morning.

The owner of the store, which is located at 3898 S. Osprey Ave., received an alert at roughly 7 a.m. Monday that an alarm at the building had been set off. He later found that a specialized Venge S-Works bicycle had been taken from the store.

In a release, the SPD provided the picture of a similar model to the bicycle involved in the robbery. Police requested that anyone with information contact Detective Kim Laster at 364-7327. Information can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers by calling 366-8477 or via the Crime Stoppers website.
