+ Poinciana bloom is sign of spring
It seems as if the Key is always in bloom. Early spring brings the gold trees covered with bright yellow flowers. The oleanders that line Gulf of Mexico Drive are brilliant with a variety of pinks. Then, in late spring, it’s time for the royal poinciana trees with huge limbs covered with masses of flaming red blooms. They are found in all areas of the Key.
