Planning Commission considers Creekwood DRI changes

Developers are proposing changes to Creekwood's development of regional impact.

The Manatee County Planning Commission, an advisory board tot he Manatee County Board of County Commissioners, wil hear the item at its 9 a.m. meeting Dec. 12, at the Manatee County Government building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.

Proposed changes include: modifying the land use of one parcel from office to residential, increasing the total number of residential units by 112, decreasing office space by 125,000 square feet and amending stipulations to the Interstate 75 bridge approach.

The DRI is approved in four phases for 1,250 residential units, 603,000 square feet of commercial space, 800,000 square feet of industrial space, 225,000 square feet of ofice space, 80,000 square feet of mini-warehouse space and 100 hotel rooms.
