Partners in crime bail out of lock-up

Susan Phillips, assistant to the town manager, and her partner in crime, friend Phyllis Black, were “arrested” Aug. 7 at Longboat Key Town Hall and “booked” at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, where they participated in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Lock-Up event to raise funds for people with neuromuscular diseases.

Phillips raised $2,517 for her bail — exceeding her goal of $2,500.
