The city of Sarasota will begin enforcing parking time restrictions at the Whole Foods/Second Street Garage this week.

An agreement was reached between the city and Casto Properties, which owns the Whole Foods building and surrounding retail spaces, authorizing the City to enforce parking restrictions in the Garage and on-street parking along First Street and Second Street. New signage indicating the areas of enforcement has been erected.

Warnings will be issued to violators through August, then citations will be issued. The first floor of the Whole Foods/Second Street Garage, dedicated to Whole Foods shoppers, is limited to 2-hour parking. The other floors have a 4-hour time limit without a parking permit.
