Longboat Key photographer Mary Lou Johnson snapped photos of the nest that holds the Key’s youngest bald eagles earlier this month.

Johnson believes there are two eaglets in the nest. This photo shows the adult pair keeping their eagle eyes on their babies.

Johnson has photographed the Key’s bald eagles over the past six years for fellow Key resident John Ginaven, of the Sarasota Audubon Society, who gives frequent talks about the family.
