Osprey Avenue closed due to gas leak

Firefighters on the scene indicated the repair would take 15 minutes before traffic started flowing again.

The Sarasota County Fire Department blocked Osprey Avenue after 9 a.m. this morning while a construction crew repaired a gas leak on the 1800 block of Boyce Street. Hibiscus Street to McClellan Parkway on Osprey Avenue will be closed until around 10:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Sarasota Police Department.
