One dead in Myakka shooting

At about 4 p.m., deputies responded to a fatal shooting at 44710 S.R. 70 E., Myakka City.

The shooting victim has been identified as Wilson Ngov, 43, of the above address. The suspect, Lim Chhea, 77, also of the above address, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.

The suspect is the father-in-law of the victim. The two have recently been arguing over animals, and this apparently led to the shooting.

There were four other individuals inside the residence at the time of the shooting, including two children ages 5 and 12. The wives of the victim and suspect were also in the residence. No one else was injured.
