Officer removes baby alligator from Osprey home

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from a distressed homeowner who found a 3-foot alligator in his home office.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded to a distressed Osprey homeowner who found a 3-foot baby alligator in his home office Monday.

Henry Cichanowicz called deputies before 2 p.m. to report that he had found the reptile near his computer in his home on the 100 block of Villa Drive. 

Animal Services Officer Lauren Campbell captured the alligator and released it in a nearby lake, according to an incident report and the Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
