Obituary: William Brinton Weaver

William Brinton Weaver, 84, of Longboat Key and formerly of Lancaster, Pa., died Aug. 8.

Born June 17, 1930, in Lancaster, Mr. Weaver was a Florida resident for the past 29 years. He attended public schools in Lancaster before graduating from St. James School in Hagerstown, Md., and a four-year college program at the General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich.

Mr. Weaver served as a sergeant in the Army from 1952 to 1954 in the Korean conflict.

During his business career in Lancaster, Mr. Weaver was manager of Hartman Pontiac from 1958 to 1960 and owner and operator of Weaver’s Auto Mart on the Manheim Pike from 1960 to 1988.

Mr. Weaver was a member of the board of directors of the School Lane Hills Corp., a private real estate development company, and owned Dutch Dell restaurant in Lancaster for several years.

For many years in Florida, Mr. Weaver enjoyed the company of his close friend and companion, Janette Nicholson.

A service was held Aug. 23, in Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Little Patriots Embraced, 325 N.
