Saul Seigle, of Longboat Key and formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Providence, R.I., died Jan. 5. He was 97 years old.

Mr. Seigle was born April 16, 1916, to Clarence and Anna Seigle, in Brooklyn. He graduated from Boys High, Brooklyn College and Brooklyn Law School. After World War II, he gave up a law practice — and Brooklyn — to marry Natalie S. Rose and settle with her in her hometown of Providence, R.I. The Seigles celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Dec. 27.

Saul was president of Cellophane Products Corp. in Pawtucket, R.I., until he sold the company in 1986. He was an instructor of business law at Providence College for the last 10 years he lived in Rhode Island.
In 1985, he and his wife retired to Longboat Key.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred; and son, David.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie; sister, Bernice R. Stavisky; son, Richard; daughter, Betsy; and four grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at Samuel Priest Chapel, in Lincoln Park Cemetery. Shiva will be private. Donations in Mr. Seigle’s memory can be made to the Natalie R. and Saul Seigle Scholarship Fund, Providence College, 1 Cunningham Square, Providence, R.I., 02918. Arrangements are being made by Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel.
