Obituary: Paul Grodner

Paul Grodner, 90, of Annapolis, Md., and formerly of Longboat Key, died May 20.

Born July 26, 1922, in Pittsburgh, he earned his CPA at the University of Pittsburgh and became regional controller assistant to the president at Clark Equipment Co. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was deployed during World War II to the Panama Canal.

Mr. Grodner was active in all of the Jewish communities in which he lived, serving as treasurer of Temple Beth Israel, president of Temple B’nai Israel, in Aurora, Ill., and he had recently joined Congregation Adat Reyim, in Springfield, Va.

Mr. Grodner was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile, whom he married in 1949 and who died in 2012, and his son.

Mr. Grodner is survived by two daughters; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service took place Wednesday, May 22, in Annapolis.
