George Edward Frost, 95, of Sarasota, died June 2.
Born March 28, 1918, he was a noted patent attorney who practiced law in Chicago before serving as director of the Patent Law Division of General Motors Corp. from 1966 to 1983. He taught law at the John Marshall Law School and University of Chicago Law School and received numerous awards for his service to the profession.
Mr. Frost was a member of All Angels by the Sea Episcopal Church.
Mr. Frost was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 66 years, Elizabeth. He is survived by his daughters,
Lillian Dean, Maygene Daniels, Carol Ann Frost and Susan Davis; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A service will take place at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, at All Angels, 563 Bay Isles Road.
