Obituary: Elberta Greene

Elberta Greene, 84, of Sarasota, died May 7.

Born March 30, 1930, in Bradenton, Mrs. Greene graduated from Manatee High School and lived her entire life in the Sarasota-Bradenton area. 

Mrs. Greene and her first husband, George Roan, built the Tru-Value Hardware Store and ran it for many years. After retiring, she traveled extensively throughout North America, Africa and Europe.

Mrs. Greene is survived by her husband, Herbert Greene; daughters, Brenda Bair and Pat DePree; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
