Obituary: Elaine Koch

Elaine Koch, 87, of Longboat Key and Manhattan, N.Y., died Nov. 2.

Born in Providence, R.I., Mrs. Koch spent 20 years in Madison, Wis., where she married her first husband, William Stone, and raised two daughters, Susan and Debra.

After her first marriage ended, she returned to the East Coast, where she began a career as a buyer and owned her own boutique.

When she was 68, she married the love of her life, Robert Koch Jr.

Mrs. Koch was known for her generous, glamorous and fun-loving personality and was known to her seven grandchildren as “Grandma Gucci.” She loved tennis, reading, good white wine and chocolate desserts.
A private memorial service will be held in New York.
