Obituary: Dr. Herbert Paskow

Dr. Herbert Paskow, 91, of Sarasota, died Nov. 13.

Born July 21, 1922, in Elizabeth, N.J., he received his undergraduate and dental surgery degree from the University of Pennsylvania. There, he was a member of Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity as an undergraduate and a member of Alpha Omega dental fraternity as a graduate student. 

He served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in 1945.

Dr. Paskow was a charter member of the Sleep Disorder Dental Society and published author of and consultant for many related articles in the American Medical Association and American Dental Association national journals. Several of his sleep-apnea preventative prosthetic devices have been patented.

Dr. Paskow was preceded in death by his son, Richard. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beverly; son, Steven; brother, Sanford; three nieces; and three nephews.
