No suspects yet in unauthorized Longboat Key pool party

Female panties and bras were found in the unfinished house on Longboat Key.

Beer bottles and cigarette butts, too, were reportedly found inside and out of the home going up at 5801 Gulf of Mexico Drive.

A construction supervisor reported these signs of trespassing and more on the property to the Longboat Key Police Department at 9:42 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30. The unauthorized pool party went on sometime between 9 p.m. Aug. 29 to 8 a.m. the next day, according to the report.

In addition to the pool, the bedrooms appear to have been used and furniture and other items were moved, according to the police report.

Entry appears to have been made through a broken glass sliding door in the west facing the rear of the residence, according to the report. No damage was reported.

A construction employee was last to leave the property at 9 p.m., according to the report. He did not check on the sliding glass door because he did not use it while cleaning garbage from the construction site.

The residence was processed for fingerprints.

Night police patrols will be increased. The case status is active.
