Nicole Rissler joins SANCA

Nicole Rissler is moving on from the Visit Sarasota County team, but she isn't going far away.

Rissler, who holds a masters in business administration with a focus on sports administration, has more than 14 years of experience with nonprofit organizations, such as the Sarasota YMCA and Visit Sarasota County.

She has also held a range of positions within her previous employer companies, such as marketing, public relations and financial development. And June 18, she added another item to her resume — a position with East County nonprofit heavy hitter, the Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Inc. (SANCA).

Rissler accepted the chief operating officer position with the company, which runs Nathan Benderson Park.

"Although a huge loss for Visit Sarasota County, we are thrilled for Nicole, and know that she will be an amazing asset to Nathan Benderson Park, the SANCA team and our entire community,” said Virginia Haley, president of Visit Sarasota County.

In her new role, Rissler will have a variety of administrative and operational duties, along with new business development and marketing responsibilities, a press release said.

"I am honored to have this opportunity to be part of an amazing team of community leaders and staff members who are doing outstanding things," Rissler said. "I am delighted to have been asked to be part of leaving a legacy for many generations to come with this incredible community park."
