+ COPS North arrests burglar
Members of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office COPS North unit have apprehended another suspect in a rash of residential burglaries in the North Manatee and East County areas.

Deputies on Oct. 13 arrested Letroy Hamilton, 19, and have charged him with burglary and armed trespass.
A sheriff’s office report says Hamilton was driving a silver Dodge Durago, which matched a vehicle description for several burglaries that occurred in the area, particularly in Heritage Harbour.

Deputies located the suspect vehicle, which belongs to Hamilton’s wife, at a residence in the 7000 block of Chatum Light Run and began surveillance, the report states.

Hamilton has an outstanding warrant in Sarasota County for failure to appear. Deptuties also had probable cause for Hamilton with an armed trespass incident Oct. 12 that occurred in Desoto Village Apartments.
Deputies followed Hamilton and his wife, Lazarrie Rolle, to a restaurant in Bradenton and coordinated marked units. As Hamilton began to leave the restaurant, he was surrounded and taken into custody without incident.
